Shushin Kai Goju-Ryu Karate-Do: Westmeadows is an authentic Japanese Goju karate club located in Melbourne, Australia. The club focuses on improving oneself through personal efforts and has a strong emphasis on developing well-rounded individuals with strong social skills, effective self-defence abilities, and a moral character.
The instructors at Shushin Kai Goju-Ryu Karate-Do have over 84 years of combined experience. The Chief Instructor holds a 7th Dan Master rank and is supported by a team of dedicated Black Belts who are committed to helping each student achieve their personal best.
The club is self-defence oriented and does not participate in tournaments. Instead, the focus is on teaching solid and effective self-defence techniques and coping strategies for the modern world. This makes the karate classes suitable for girls and boys aged 9 and above, teenagers, and adults of both genders.
In addition to physical training, Shushin Kai Goju-Ryu Karate-Do also prioritises the development and maintenance of fitness, health, and personal energy. The classes provide a supportive environment where students can explore and master karate techniques, make friends, and improve their self-confidence.

Classes are held at Westmeadows Public Hall on Raleigh St in Westmeadows. Training sessions take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The Hombu Dojo in Westmeadows is also used for Wednesday classes. The club's website provides a Google Map for easy navigation to the dojo.
