Shoalhaven Dog Training Club Inc. is dedicated to the training of dog owners to become competent handlers. With over 30 years of experience, our instructors can help you to understand your dog’s needs by providing you with the necessary information and knowledge to train your dog to be a good canine citizen within the community. Being a club member is part of the fun as we encourage social interaction and participation in activities and events.
As a club member, there are rewards and satisfactions knowing you are not just a student in a training course but a responsible dog owner within our community.
Shoalhaven Dog Training Club will be starting 2016 with a training plan for you and your dog. This plan will ensure you and your dog are supported throughout the year with the best available instructors to tend to your needs. With each new members wanting to experience a fruitful relationship with their dog, we understand that you want the best instruction available. Our beginner groups allow you to develop at your own pace giving you and your dog the right level of attention to suit your progression.
New members will need to enrol at the clubhouse on a Wednesday night, placing you on a waiting list for the next available beginners group. No matter how old your dog is, they can benefit from the Introduction to Obedience group that takes 8 weeks to complete. Once you have completed this segment of your training, you advance into the intermediate group where you learn the skills needed to manage your dog in public by socialising with other dogs and understanding basic obedience disciplines. As part of this intermediate group, you will build a closer relationship with your dog as you work together as a team to reach a high standard of achievement.
During the programme, your dog will enjoy training by including fun activites such as, Agility for Beginners, and Rally-O circuits.
