Welcome to Shaolin Monk Martial Arts East Sydney, a sports club dedicated to preserving the teachings of Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu. The club upholds the lineage of 30th Generation Grand Master Shi SuXi, Great Master Shi DeFon, and Master Brett Xing Wu Russell. Their aim is to guide students towards achieving inner peace, stillness, and happiness through the training disciplines of Shaolin – Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Meditation, and Chan.
Shaolin Monk Martial Arts teaches four main aspects of Shaolin: Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Chi Kung (Qi Gong), and Meditation. These four aspects form the essence of Shaolin, with Chan being the philosophy that encompasses them. Chan is a path toward cultivating one's body, mind, and spirit to become a better person for themselves and others. Training in the ways of Shaolin can be described as action meditation, seeking enlightenment through the experience of movement and action.
According to a famous Chan saying, Chan and Martial Arts are one, they are part of your spirit. Martial Arts is used to master Chan and become enlightened.
The club regularly showcases their expertise through demonstrations of Tai Chi, Kung Fu, and weapons, followed by interactive Q&A sessions. These demonstrations aim to impress and provide an opportunity for visitors to learn more about Shaolin Monk Martial Arts. The demonstrations are often held at popular venues, such as the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Sydney.
Shaolin Monk Martial Arts has 13 schools located throughout Australia and Germany. Each school is committed to teaching the traditional practises and techniques of Shaolin Kung Fu. The locations of the schools include Adelaide, Merrylands, East Sydney, Munich (Germany), Liverpool, Coogee, North Parramatta, Bondi, Mascot, Sutherland Shire, Manly, Gold Coast, Cremorne, SDF-Salisbury (SA), and SDF-Atlanta (USA).

He was renowned for his knowledge and skills in martial arts and Chan Buddhism. The 31st Generation Great Master Shi DeFon trained under Shi SuXi and studied under Shi SuYun, further honing his skills in Shaolin Kung Fu and Shaolin Medicine.
