Seaford Tigers Cricket Club

Seaford Tigers Cricket Club, located in Melbourne, is a proud sports club that has been fostering a love for cricket in the local community since 1990. The club is situated at Belvedere Reserve on East Road in Seaford, adjacent to Frankston Council's Healthy Hub. Currently, the club competes in the Peninsula Division of the MPCA (Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association), which is known as one of the most successful country cricket competitions in Victoria and Australia.

Starting with just two senior teams in its inaugural season, the Seaford Tigers Cricket Club has grown significantly over the years. In the 1991/1992 season, the club expanded to four senior teams and two junior teams. The first eleven of the club achieved consecutive premierships in the A grade competition during the 1991/1992 and 1992/1993 seasons. In 1994, the club joined the Mornington Peninsula Cricket Association, and that year, the first eleven won the premiership in the sub-district.

Throughout its history, the Seaford Tigers Cricket Club has experienced notable success on the field. The junior teams have won two premierships in the under 16 competition, in the 1999/2000 and 2002/2003 seasons. In the 2012/2013 season, the club had its most successful season to date, securing the Senior 1stXI Sub District leadingship and the under 13, 15, and 17 Junior leadingships. Another highly successful season followed in 2014/2015, with the club winning the 2ndXI, 4thXI, and 5thXI topships.

In the 2019/2020 season, the 1stXI triumphed again, winning the District premiership and earning promotion to the MPCA Peninsula Division.

At present, the Seaford Tigers Cricket Club fields three senior men's teams, a women's team, an All Abilities team, and five junior teams. The club also runs a successful Woolworths Cricket Blast programme, aimed at nurturing young talents in the sport. With a dedicated group of volunteers, the Seaford Tigers Cricket Club continuously strives for growth and success, aspiring to become one of the top clubs on the Mornington Peninsula.
