Is an experienced performer. She teaches championship and intermediate dancers, focusing on technique and performance skills. Belinda is passionate about sharing her love of highland dancing with her students and helping them achieve their goals.

Jemma King Jemma is a former champion dancer who has competed successfully in both Australia and Scotland. She holds qualifications with the BATD and is a registered teacher with the Australian Board of Highland Dancing. Jemma has a background in ballet and contemporary dance and brings her knowledge of these disciplines to her highland dance teaching. She is dedicated to helping her students develop strong technique and musicality, while also encouraging creativity and expression.

Rachael Mischka Rachael has been dancing for over 20 years and has achieved great success in both solo and team competitions. She has competed nationally and internationally and has placed in championships in Australia, Scotland, and Canada. Rachael holds qualifications with the BATD and is a registered teacher with the Australian Board of Highland Dancing. She enjoys working with dancers of all ages and levels, and strives to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Rebecca Barbour Rebecca has been dancing since she was three years old and has a passion for highland dancing. She has competed at a national level in Australia and has also competed internationally in Scotland. Rebecca holds qualifications with the BATD and is a registered teacher with the Australian Board of Highland Dancing. She particularly enjoys teaching younger dancers and helping them develop a strong foundation in technique and performance skills.

The Scottish Highland Dance Academy is a vibrant and dynamic sports club that offers high-quality highland dance training for dancers of all ages and levels. With a team of highly qualified teachers, our focus is on developing dancers to reach their full potential both technically and artistically. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where dancers can thrive and grow.

Our dancers have achieved remarkable success in both national and international competitions, with wins in prestigious championships around the world. They have also had the unique opportunity to perform at renowned events such as the Edinburgh Tattoo and various international tattoos. Additionally, our dancers frequently collaborate with the WA Police Pipe Band and have even appeared in a music video for the popular Australian band “Jebediah.

Classes are held in Perth suburbs both north and south of the river, making it convenient for dancers from all areas of the city to participate. We offer a range of classes including championship, competition, examination, and floor show display work. Our teaching team consists of ten qualified teachers who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to each class.

Whether dancers aspire to compete at the highest level or simply want to learn and enjoy the art form of highland dancing, our academy provides the platform and guidance to help them achieve their dreams. We are dedicated to fostering a love for highland dancing and helping our dancers meet their goals.
