SSAA Caboolture Branch Inc, also known as the Sporting Shooters' Association of Australia Caboolture Branch, is a sports club based in Brisbane, Australia. The club is dedicated to promoting and participating in the sport of shooting, providing a safe and supportive environment for shooters of all levels.
Located at 558 Uhlmann Rd, Burpengary, near the Caboolture Clay Target Club, SSAA Caboolture offers a range of facilities and activities for its members. The club currently has a 25m range that caters to pistol chamberings and a 50m range that caters to both pistol and rifle chamberings. The club's range approval conditions have specific guidelines on muzzle velocity for different types of ammunition to ensure safety. New shooters are always welcome at SSAA Caboolture, and experienced Range Officers are available to assist and familiarise them with range safety procedures and firearms that are available for hire.
To participate in shooting activities at SSAA Caboolture, shooters are required to bring photo identification and enclosed shoes. Minors over 11 years old are also allowed to participate but need to provide photo identification as well. If they don't have photo identification, a hard copy photo that can be endorsed by a Justice of the Peace (JP) is acceptable. In addition to regular shooting sessions, SSAA Caboolture also hosts various events and competitions. These include Thursday night sessions for licenced facility and Form 33 shooters, Friday sessions for licenced members and Form 33 shooters, and Saturday sessions for licenced facility members and Form 33 shooters. The club also holds specific competitions such as Western Action Competition and Turning Targets Competition on Tuesday nights. Monthly competitions are held on the last Saturday of the month, featuring 22LR Pistol and .
22LR Rifle competitions, Black Powder Cap and Ball Competition on the first Saturday of the month, and Rapid Fire Pistol and Sports Pistol competitions on specific dates.
