Roosters Hockey Club

Roosters Hockey Club, located in the Gold Coast, is a sports club dedicated to the exciting sport of hockey. The club's home ground is the Gold Coast Performance Centre, specifically the Nikki Hudson Hockey Centre. This state-of-the-art facility features a brand new world-class synthetic hockey pitch. Named after former Hockeyroos captain Nikki Hudson, the facility was a training ground for elite athletes during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. With its fully-certified pitch, the Gold Coast Performance Centre is one of the few venues on the Gold Coast suitable for elite international competition.

The club is also affiliated with the Gold Coast Hockey Centre, which is located nearby. This facility serves as a hub for hockey in the region, welcoming players and teams at the local, state, national, and international levels. Being able to train and play on a Commonwealth Games facility is a unique and exciting opportunity for hockey enthusiasts.

In 2022, the Roosters Hockey Club completed the construction of their very own clubhouse, affectionately known as the “Chook House. ” This facility provides various amenities for members, including a canteen, storage for equipment, and a dedicated space for athletes and coaching staff to communicate. The Chook House serves as a central hub for the club, promoting a sense of community among its members.

The Roosters Hockey Club offers opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels, from juniors to seniors. They have teams in various divisions and participate in fixtures and tournaments throughout the season.
