The Rockingham Aquatic Centre is Rockingham's leading summer family aquatic playground, located at 61 Council Avenue in Rockingham, Western Australia. It boasts a range of facilities, including a heated 50m pool, a 25m pool, and a shaded toddlers' pool, all surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and shady grassed areas.
The centre is open to the public from late September to mid-April each year and offers a variety of activities for all age groups and skill levels. The Rockingham Aquatic Centre operates on specific opening times depending on the season. From late September to mid-April, the centre is open from 6am to 6pm on weekdays and from 7am to 10am on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays during this period.
Admission prices to the centre vary depending on the type of entry and membership. General entry prices range from $5. 20 for a child to $6. 70 for an adult.
Concession books and family passes are also available. There are additional fees for aquarobics classes and water polo training.
Swimming programmes at the Rockingham Aquatic Centre cater to all ages and skill levels. The Learn to Swim programme, which includes a water safety component, is available for children aged four and above. Lessons are held once a week, and students can also access the pools outside of lesson times with a direct debit membership. The programme runs throughout the season, with a four-week break from mid-December to early January.
Other programmes offered at the centre include Aquarobics classes, which run from October to March, and water polo training sessions organised by the Peel Water Polo Association. Aquarobics classes are held on Tuesdays and Fridays, and Aqua Zumba is available on Thursdays. Water polo training takes place on Mondays and is open to anyone over the age of 14.
