RW Wrestling

RW Wrestling is a sports club located in Frankston, Melbourne. The club offers training in two technical wrestling styles: freestyle wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling. Freestyle wrestling allows leg holds in the execution of every action, while Greco-Roman wrestling prohibits holds underneath the waist. Both styles focus on developing broad technical and tactical skills in throws and takedowns.

Freestyle wrestling is open for both women and men, while Greco-Roman wrestling is exclusively for men.

The club also offers an RW MMA programme, which aims to play a significant role in the education and development of Australian individuals in amateur MMA. The programme covers various areas including strength and conditioning preparation, technical preparation, tactical preparation, combat and competition preparation, and psychological preparation. The RW MMA programme is currently recruiting adults aged 18-22 who are dedicated to training and becoming the next future MMA star.

RW Wrestling is committed to introducing school kids and youth to the sport of wrestling and providing them with new sporting opportunities and experiences. Wrestling incorporates a range of skills similar to other sports, such as the speed of a sprinter, the flexibility of a gymnast, the strategy of a chess player, the strength of a weightlifter, and the endurance of a long-distance runner. Kids and youth are naturally attracted to wrestling because they have been practising these skills from a young age. Wrestling is also recognised as an Olympic sport.
