About your coach:
Ritchie Smith- AAA PGA Professional
Ritchie represented Western Australia numerous times at Amateur level, three times as Captain of his team. He then completed his PGA traineeship, winning the Australian Trainee Player of the Year three times consecutively.
While completing his traineeship, Ritchie was awarded a scholarship to the Australian Institute of Sport, where his passion for teaching was first encouraged. After two relatively successful but unspectacular seasons on the Australian PGA Tour, Ritchie decided that his real passion lay in teaching the game, and established Perth Golf Academy. Since establishment Ritchie has produced ten Australian Number One amateurs, numerous more National and State team members, and has been both Australian PGA Coach of the Year (2014) and Western Australian PGA Coach of the Year (5 times).
Ritchie was the State Women’s Coach from 2003-2014 and is the Current Men’s Team coach. He is also the coach of Minjee Lee, 4 time LPGA Winner, LPGA member Hannah Green, and Web.com/European Tour member Min Woo Lee.
His involvement in elite level coaching gives Ritchie access to world's best practise for all aspects of the game, however he enjoys coaching players of all levels and gets great satisfaction from helping people achieve their goals
