Preston/Reservoir Little Athletics Centre

Welcome to Preston Reservoir Little Athletics Centre Inc. , located at the Athletics Pavilion in Edwardes Lake Park, Reservoir. Preston Reservoir Little Athletics Centre, or PRLAC, is a community-focused sports club offering Little Athletics programmes for children aged 5-16. Aligned with the core values of 'FAMILY, FUN, and FITNESS', PRLAC aims to provide a supportive and enjoyable environment for kids to improve their athletic skills, make new friends, and stay active.

Summer at PRLAC runs from October through late March, with a break over Christmas and New Year. Additionally, there is a Cross Country season from April to August. Every Saturday morning during summer, PRLAC holds its weekly Competition Days, starting from 8:30 am.

The new season for 2023–24 starts on Friday, November 3rd, with a Twilight Programme. Participants in different age groups will have the opportunity to compete in various events such as sprints, hurdles, long jump, shot put, and triple jump. PRLAC also offers training sessions on Wednesdays from 6pm-7pm. Athletes participate in different events each week to enhance their technique and overall performance. These training sessions are designed to provide athletes with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve in their chosen events.

Not sure if Little Aths is the right sport for your child? PRLAC offers a two-week free trial for new athletes. Simply visit the club's website and select Option A to register for the trial. By selecting 'Preston/Reservoir LAC' as your chosen centre, you can experience the sport firsthand and make an informed decision.

PRLAC welcomes all new members to its community-focused Little Aths club. The competitions are held at Edwardes Lake Park, located at the corner of Edwardes and Griffiths Streets in Reservoir. The registration fee for PRLAC includes the cost of registration with Little Athletics Victoria and insurance coverage. This fee also covers expenses such as venue hire, utility costs, equipment upgrades, administrative costs, prizes, trophies, and awards. There is a slight increase in fees for the current season to accommodate the rising costs associated with membership. Athletes also need to purchase a club uniform separately.

For athletes who wish to participate in Regional events, separate registration and payment via LAVic is required. These fees are not included in the club's registration fee structure. More information about registration fees and payment options can be found on the club's website.
