Little Athletics is a summer sport for children between 3 & 17 years of age and of any ability. Port Stephens Little Athletics holds weekly competition each Monday evening at The Dick Burwell Oval, Tomaree Sports complex, Nelson Bay Road, Salamander Bay, from September through to March. For the athletes the emphasis is very much on personal improvement and participation in a wide range of track and field events. Athletes are encouraged to reach their potential through regular attendance and participation.
Our goal is to provide a friendly and safe environment that will ensure our athletes and families enjoy the participation and friendships that Little Athletics can provide.
We aim to develop and improve the skills and performance of all our athletes, whether they compete locally or choose to compete at higher levels.
Each competition evening the athletes will compete in 4 events. These events cover a 4 week rotating programme and include running, jumping and throwing. Individual age groups and programmes are available here.
We are affiliated with NSW Little Athletics who conduct competition at Zone, Region, State, and even National level.
