Welcome to Port Kennedy Junior Football Club, also known as the PK Cats! Located at Warnbro Oval (Living Waters) on Swallowtail Parade in Perth, we are a local football club that participates in the Peel District competition. At PK Cats, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive and family-oriented club that values every individual who joins us. When you become a part of the PK Cats family, you are not just a number but an integral member of our community.
The club is run by an Executive Committee and a dedicated group of volunteer families who work tirelessly to ensure that each child feels valued, learns, and has fun. Our club offers opportunities for children to participate in Auskick, Juniors, and Youth teams. Whether you are a newbie or an experienced player, we would love to see you at the club. Established in 2008 as an Auskick Centre, Port Kennedy Cats has grown over the years to include junior and youth teams. Our Year 7 youth boys made it to the Grand Final in 2020, and the same team achieved a spot in the Preliminary Finals in 2021. Our focus on maintaining an inclusive and family-oriented environment has allowed us to grow our membership and build a strong sense of community since our establishment.
Meet our dedicated Committee members who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the club. Led by our President, Brodie Adriaens, and supported by individuals such as Vice President Mike Markovic, Registrar Trevor King, Treasurer (TBD), Secretary Becky Bolton, and Auskick Coordinator Claire Boxall, our committee members are passionate about creating a positive experience for all our players.
We are proud to highlight some of our club's accomplishments, such as Toby Williams receiving the Peel District best and fairest award, making it the first for our club. Five of our Year 8 players have also made it to the U’14 Peel Thunder and South Fremantle Development Squads, showcasing our players' talent and dedication. Additionally, our PK Cats kids have received recognition through ABC awards, coaches awards, and all-rounder awards.
