CROQUET – ACTIVE GENTLE EXERCISE FOR ALL Come and play Croquet for some active gentle exercise and enjoy a cuppa and a conversation at Port Hacking Croquet Club at 184 Gannons Road South Caringbah. New players are welcome and introductory sessions are available by arrangement. Play is available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, year-round.Croquet exercises the mind as well as the body and is suitable for all. In fact, the gentle exercise helps sustain mobility and the strategy required definitely helps keep the mind active.Croquet is a lawn game where you hit a ball through a series of hoops with a mallet – simple?? Well it takes a little practice and skill as there is only a little over one and a half millimetres clearance between the ball and the sides of the hoop! Even our experienced players can fail to run a ball through a hoop – just ask them or better still come and watch a game.Most games are played in pairs and the play is quite social, but there is opportunity to play competitively also.Between games we enjoy a cuppa and a social chat.Port Hacking Croquet Club members span a wide range of ages., Some have been playing a for a few months, others for years, even decades for some.
