Polonia Football Club, based in Plumpton in Sydney's west, is a sports club with a rich history dating back to 1949. The club, which has been in its current premises since the 1970s, competes in the Blacktown District Soccer Football Association.
The club is renowned for its commitment to developing talented players of all ages. It offers training and competitions for players from the U21 level to the senior level, with trials for these age groups taking place in January 2023. Regular updates about the trials can be found on Polonia FC's Facebook page.
Registration for the 2023 season opens on January 4, and players, coaches, and committee members are required to register on the new DRIBL online platform. It is crucial that all personal information, including mobile phone numbers and email addresses, is up-to-date to ensure effective communication. Additionally, a new passport-style photo must be uploaded for each member's account, capturing only the head and shoulders.
New players who wish to register with Polonia FC for the 2023 season are required to contact the club and attend a grading/training session. For further inquiries or to express interest, individuals can contact Alexandra at poloniafc_secretary@outlook. Com or send a message through the club's Facebook page.
Payments for registration can be made online via the registration portal with a credit card or via direct bank transfer to the club's account. It is important to include the player's name in the bank transfer to ensure proper identification. Cash payments are not recommended.
The 2023 registration fees cover FFA, FNSW, BDSFA, and referee fees, as well as playing shirts, shorts, and socks. Prices vary depending on age groups, with Miniroos (5-11 years old) priced between $270 and $295, Junior/Youth (12–18 years old) between $330 and $370, and Senior (19 years old and above) at $435. All players above the age of 18 become social members of Polonia Sports Club.
A cancellation fee of $30 applies for all registration cancellations once payment has been received, and no refunds apply once a player has participated in a competition match.
Families with eligible schoolchildren up to the age of 18 can take advantage of the $100 government rebate called Active Kids. More information about this rebate can be found on the NSW service website.
Polonia Football Club is dedicated to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all players, promoting teamwork, skill development, and a love for the game of football.
