Under the guidance of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia, Lever Action Shooting has developed into a National Sport, with Lever Action Clubs in most states of Australia.
It first originated in Queensland in the late 60s followed by New South Wales. Western Australia commenced a year or two later then came South Australia, Tasmania, and the Northern Territory.
The first Lever Action Club in Western Australia was established in Albany, followed by Perth Lever Action Club. Our first competition was held on September 30th 1973 with nine members competing.
The Perth Lever Action Rifle Club Inc can now boast of being one of the largest Lever Clubs in Australia, with over 150 members, consisting of Adults and Juniors.
