Palena Netball Club

Welcome to Palena Netball Club, a thriving sports club located in Hobart, Tasmania. Established in 1965, the club was formed by several players from the Hobart Teachers College team, with the aim of providing a supportive and competitive environment for netball enthusiasts of all ages.

Palena Netball Club is proud to be a part of the Southern Tasmanian Netball Association, and in 2022, the club will field an impressive total of 26 teams in various divisions. Whether you're a junior player just starting out or a seasoned senior player, there is a place for you at Palena.

The club offers a range of programmes and events to cater to all skill levels and age groups. One of the highlights is the Panther Cubs Junior Clinic, designed specifically for 7-12 year olds who are new to the sport. This low-cost introductory programme is a fantastic way for young players to learn the basics of netball and develop their skills in a supportive and fun environment.

For those interested in joining Palena Netball Club, selection dates for the 2024 season will be held on December 2nd. Junior players can express their interest by filling out the Junior Expression of Interest form, which can be accessed on our social media pages and club directories. Senior players can find the registration link on the same form.

In addition to on-court activities, Palena Netball Club also values sportsmanship and a positive club culture. The club's Code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviour for both players and supporters, emphasising fair play, respect, and teamwork.
