In the 2019 season, the club had a total of 27 teams, consisting of 21 junior teams, 5 senior men teams, and 1 ladies team, with approximately 300 players. The club's colours are orange and black, and their logo features a tiger's head.
The club was founded 59 years ago when it split from the Padstow Pirates. Initially, the facilities at Playford Park were basic, with the canteen operated out of a tent. Over the years, the club has grown significantly, and in 2000, a clubhouse extension was completed, providing a spacious and modern kitchen facility.
Padstow United is proudly affiliated with the Bankstown District Amateur Football Association and has a history of successful seasons on the field. The club's mission is to encourage the participation and enjoyment of sport for boys, girls, men, and women. Currently, soccer is the club's primary sport.
