To work collaboratively with stakeholders and members to ensure the success and development of football refereeing in Orange and the surrounding areas.
The Orange & District Football Referees Association (ODFRA) is dedicated to providing qualified and competent referees for various football competitions and events. Whether it's competitive leagues, recreational matches, school games, gala days, or tournaments, our match officials are trained, certified, and assessed to ensure they can provide a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all involved.
The ODFRA aims to foster the growth of football refereeing and encourages its members and stakeholders to be well-versed in the Laws of the Game. We strive to develop our members' proficiency as referees, coaches, and assessors, offering opportunities for growth and advancement in these areas.
Maintaining affiliations with stakeholders is important to us, as it allows us to represent the Association's interests and contribute to the advancement of the game in the region. We believe in ensuring that our members receive just and fair treatment, reflecting our commitment to their well-being and professional development.
To become a member of the ODFRA, candidates can register on the Play Football website. Registration fees are $40 for juniors (under 18) and $90 for seniors (18 and over). If there are any issues with registration, individuals can contact the registrar via email at registrar@odfra. Com.
If you require referees for a school match, trial, or any other event, you can book a referee by completing the designated form on our website at least two weeks prior to the scheduled game. For gala days, please provide details and a draw to the Appointments Officer.
Training and courses are traditionally held in March, prior to the start of the season in April. For specific dates and further information, interested individuals can contact the ODFRA's coaching department via email at coach@odfra. Com.
The ODFRA provides various resources and information on its website, including the Laws of the Game, Football NSW policies, referee equipment for purchase, local competition rules, and field plans. These resources are valuable references for our members and stakeholders.
The ODFRA is managed by a dedicated committee comprising eight individuals elected during the AGM. The committee members bring a range of experience and skill-sets, contributing to the strategic plan and objectives of the association. Their collective expertise ensures the ongoing professional growth and strengthening of the ODFRA.
We are committed to working tirelessly alongside our members, stakeholders, and the wider football community to foster the growth and development of football refereeing in Orange and the surrounding areas. With our focus on excellence and fairness, we aim to provide the best possible officiating services for the advancement of the game.
