Are you the owner of Old Geelong Football Club?

The Old Geelong Football Club, originally known as the Old Geelong Grammarians Football Club, was founded in early 1954. It played its first game in the Victorian Amateur Football Association's newly created E Section on April 24 of that year. The club quickly enjoyed success, being runners-up in 1955 and winning topships in the D and C Sections in 1956 and 1957, respectively.
In its inaugural year, the club used a ground at Yarra Park. However, it soon moved to the St Kevins No 2 ground from 1955 to 1958. In 1959, the club relocated to a larger ground in Burnley and, after a few years there, secured the use of Como Park in South Yarra, where it has been based ever since.
Initially, the Old Geelong Football Club fielded only one side. However, in 1963, a Reserves team was formed, and in 1966, both the Reserves and Firsts teams won leadingships. Despite several finals appearances, the club experienced a premiership drought that lasted until 1988 for the Reserves and 1990 for both teams.
In 1973, the club changed its name to the Old Geelong Football Club to reflect the changing membership, with a significant number of Old Geelong Collegians joining the club in recent seasons. While the club continues to recruit and maintain close connexions with Geelong schools, it welcomes and encourages players from all sources.
During the 1990s, the club established an Under 19 side, which lasted for about five seasons before folding due to inadequate numbers. It was revived on many occasions in the late 2000s and 2010s, depending on player availability. The club experienced another taste of success in 2005, winning topships for the Reserves and Firsts. From 2006 to 2016, the club enjoyed success with its re-established Under 19s, Reserves, and Club 18 teams, winning multiple premierships.
However, the Firsts faced disappointment in many Preliminary Finals during that period.
With a history spanning 63 years, the Old Geelong Football Club's aim today is to continue its proud legacy and promote the sport of Australian rules football.
