The Old Bar Tennis Club, the “Friendly Seaside Tennis Centre”, is set back from Old Bar Road and is part of the Old Bar Reserve.
The Club house was rebuilt in 2005/6 after it was completely destroyed by fire in April, 2005. The Club house was enlarged and a number of features were added, including a shower, a pro shop, and a modernised kitchen.
The five synthetic courts are in excellent condition, Two of these were added to the original three in 2007 and the original three were resurfaced in July, 2011.
The Old Bar Tennis Club is an integral part of the community and is held in high regard as a well managed centre. This was evidenced by the communities response to the re-building programme following the fire in April, 2005.
The Club house is available to be hired for family and community events, including meetings, weddings, engagement parties, birthday parties and presentations for other sporting bodies.
