The Northern Suburbs Illawarra Bulldogs Rugby League Football Club was established in 1946. We have a rich history within the Illawarra having won First Grade Premeirships in 1952, 60, 61. Second Grade leadingships in 1959, 62, 63. Third Grade in 1955, 63.
In 1978 The Norths Club entered the Second Division Amatuer League Competition. Where we enjoyed some very successful years having played in 12 Grand Finals & winning 6 in the 20 years of the Amatuer League. Our premierships came in 1985 (Undeafeatd), 86, 88, 90, 91 & 92 (Undefeated).
In 1959 the Northern Suburbs Rugby League Football Club Offically opened in Coledale. Unfortunatley the Licenced Club was closed in 1998 due to financial troubles brought on by the closure of many local coal mines.
In 2014 we have one Senior open age team competing in the now 2nd Division Illawarra Coal Shield Competition. Also a Junior Rugby League Football Club that is continuing to buck the trend & grow, with young pups enjoying thier football.
The Rugby League Club Committee are committed to ensuring Our Team & Our Club remain competitive in the local competition, now & into the future.
Most recently, Season 2014 saw our 2nd Division team finish the regular season undefeated & outright first on the competition ladder, then qualify for the Grand Final were we finished runners up. 2015 we once again finished Minor leadings, but this time finished the job as 2015 topS!
