North Shore Dance Academy

North Shore Dance Academy is a prestigious sports club located in Sydney, Australia. Founded and directed by Anne, the academy offers exceptional classical ballet tuition to students ranging from three and a half years old to professional and teacher levels. Ballet classes at North Shore Dance Academy are accompanied by an exceptional pianist, providing a musical and immersive experience for the students. Junior ballet classes start with Tiny Tots, Pre-Primary, Primary, and Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4. Students from Primary and onwards have the opportunity to participate in Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations and are required to attend at least two ballet classes per week. In preparation for these examinations, a holiday school is held in October.

Junior ballet classes are available throughout the week and on Saturdays. Additionally, junior ballet students have the option to attend the academy's Jazz classes.

For students in Grade 2 Ballet and above, North Shore Dance Academy offers Contemporary classes. Students from Grade 4 Ballet and above can also attend Pilates/Stretch classes, further enhancing their strength and flexibility.

Senior ballet classes at North Shore Dance Academy cater to Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1, and Advanced 2 levels. These classes focus on developing students' strength, technique, and artistry to the highest levels. Senior vocational examinations are also available for students who aspire to refine their skills to a professional level. Classes are held throughout the week, including Saturdays.

The academy also organises holiday schools with renowned guest teachers, which are highly recommended for attending.

In addition to ballet, North Shore Dance Academy offers outstanding classes in Contemporary and Jazz/Hip Hop. These classes contribute to enhancing students' strength, flexibility, movement, and style. Contemporary Dance, in particular, is an essential part of dance training, performed by many classical ballet companies and Contemporary Dance companies alike.
