North Mackay Athletics

North Mackay Little Athletics (NMLA) Centre was formed in 1993 by some dedicated parents to cater for this continually growing sport. We are affiliated with Little Athletics Queensland (LAQ) and operate under their policies and guidelines. NMLA is one of the biggest Winter Season Centres outside Brisbane with 100 athletes registered last year. Little Athletics Centres differs from the traditional amateur clubs, in that we cater only for children. We provide not only the full size athletic equipment used by experienced athletes, but also a range of smaller “custom built” equipment enabling smaller children and novices to learn the basics of these events.
