Newcastle City Football Club, also known as Newcastle City Blues, is an Australian Football Club based in Newcastle, Australia. Established in 1883, it is one of the oldest clubs in the country and has a rich history in the sport. The club participates in the AFL Hunter Central Coast Competitions in the Greater Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Central Coast regions of New South Wales.

Newcastle City is known for its inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, and training sessions for the 2024 season are expected to start in mid- to late November. Senior training takes place on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6 PM. The club encourages all players, including newcomers, to join their training sessions and welcomes new players throughout the season. Player registration for the 2024 season will open in January 2024. All players must be registered to be eligible for selection in any pre-season trial matches. Returning players are required to re-register each season. The registration fees for the upcoming season will be announced after the 2024 Annual General Meeting.
For players who were registered with the Newcastle City Juniors last year and are transitioning to Senior football, or for players transferring from another club, a transfer will be needed.
