The White Eagle Soccer Club idea was conceived in 1960 and the Club was formed in 1961 under the auspices of the Polish Association based in New Town. It was registered in 1962 by the TSA to compete in the Metropolitan League, finishing in second place and winning its Knockout Cup that same year.
The 90s were a hugely successful period for the White Eagle soccer club, with club stalwarts such as the Leszynkski brothers, David Stoddart, Colin Sheppard and many more bringing the success that still is talked about in many local soccer circles today. Moving into 2000s the club had a shift of coaches and players still achieving success in bringing home trophies, with a host of healthy junior, social, u/20 teams and the top mens team on the rise with club stalwart Rodney Bones and new president Grant Nutting the future is looking promising.
