Organising community events and participating in fundraising campaigns.
Today, Neptune Royal Life Saving Club continues its mission of ensuring the safety of beachgoers and water enthusiasts in the Gold Coast area. The club is open to individuals of all skill levels and fitness abilities, offering a range of positions and activities to suit everyone's interests. Whether you prefer to be hands-on in patrol operations, providing first aid, performing rescues, or working behind the scenes, there are opportunities for everyone to contribute.
In partnership with Volunteering Gold Coast, Neptune Royal Life Saving Club is also proud to assist in making Tallebudgera Creek an accessible location for all. Beach wheelchairs and matting are available every weekend from September to May, providing individuals with mobility challenges the opportunity to enjoy the beach and water. This initiative aims to create a more inclusive and welcoming beach environment.
The club's commitment to preserving local culture and history is also evident in the artwork displayed at the clubhouse. Created by indigenous artist Pearl Campbell, the artwork tells the story and history of Jellugal River. It depicts the river, its various waterways, and the different communities and energies that surround it. This artwork serves as a reminder of the club's connexion to the land and its respect for indigenous culture.
