As a member of the NSW Nordic Ski Club, you will have access to a variety of activities that cater to all skill levels and interests. Whether you are a beginner looking for instruction and guided trips or an experienced skier seeking challenging terrain, our club has something for everyone. Our activities include cross country touring, telemark skiing, alpine touring, and track skiing.

We believe that skiing in the backcountry is more than just a sport, it is a philosophy. It is about exploring beyond the ski resorts, breaking new tracks through snowgums, and carving turns in fresh snow while enjoying the beauty and solitude of the Australian snow country. Our members have diverse interests, ranging from leisurely day trips to camping out on snow overnight or embarking on extended backcountry treks.

If you have never skied cross country before, don't worry! We offer instruction and trips specifically designed for beginners, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to experience the joy of backcountry skiing.

In addition to our activities, the NSW Nordic Ski Club holds monthly meetings with interesting presentations and guest speakers. These meetings provide an opportunity for members to connect, share stories and experiences, and learn from each other. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome to attend these meetings and speak to our members to learn more about the club and see if it is the right fit for them.

Membership with the NSW Nordic Ski Club also comes with benefits. Our club is one of the most experienced backcountry ski clubs in Australia, and our members freely share their knowledge and skills to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all members. Additionally, our website provides valuable resources and information about backcountry skiing, equipment, and upcoming events.

To join the NSW Nordic Ski Club, individuals aged 18 and over can become ordinary members for $40. Family memberships are also available for $55, which includes a spouse/partner and additional fees for children under 18. Membership can be easily done online, with payment options including Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal. Alternatively, you can download and fill out a membership form and pay by direct deposit or cheque.

If you are unsure if the club is right for you, we encourage you to come and talk to us at one of our monthly meetings. Visitors are always welcome, and you do not have to be a member to attend. Club meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month from May to September.
