Welcome to Murrumbateman Tennis Club, located in the Yass Valley Council in New South Wales, Australia. With a history dating back 100 years, our club is proud to be an active and vibrant part of the local community.
Our three courts are situated at the Murrumbateman Recreation Ground, which sits on the traditional lands of the Ngunnawal people. These courts were upgraded in 2007 to a first-class synthetic grass playing surface, thanks to the generous support of the Murrumbateman Progress Association and the Yass Valley Council. In 2020, we installed excellent LED lighting, made possible by a grant from the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities fund. And in 2022, a major upgrade of our playing surface was completed, courtesy of a grant from the NSW Government's Regional Sport Facility Fund.
At Murrumbateman Tennis Club, we offer a range of tennis programmes and activities for players of all skill levels. Our club organises regular mid-week social tennis sessions, providing a great opportunity to meet fellow tennis enthusiasts and enjoy some friendly competition. We also offer a Community Play programme on Sundays during the school term, allowing players of all ages and abilities to participate.
To further enhance your tennis skills, Spinifex Tennis provides professional coaching services at our club. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced player looking to refine your techniques, our qualified coaches are here to assist you.
Our courts are also available for hire, making it convenient for individuals or groups who want to enjoy a game of tennis at their own leisure. And if you're looking to become a member of Murrumbateman Tennis Club, we always welcome new members with open arms.
