Mowbray Golf Club, located in the northern suburbs of Launceston, Tasmania, has a rich and diverse history dating back to 1934 when it was formed as a 9-hole course. Over the years, the club expanded and now boasts an 18-hole layout measuring 6000+ metres in length, featuring two Par-5s, three Par-3s, and the remaining holes being Par-4s. The course provides a challenging and enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels.
The club has a strong golfing history, with Mowbray's Division 1 Pennant team winning 9 consecutive Northern and State Pennants from 1996 to 2004. In 1999, the club achieved a remarkable feat by winning all four State Pennants (Division 1, 2, 3, and Colts). This impressive performance highlights the club's dedication to excellence in the sport.
The current clubhouse, which opened in 1975 and underwent renovations in 2018, provides members and visitors with a welcoming and comfortable environment. The club has a friendly culture and is known for its family-oriented atmosphere. With over 300 members, the club organises three main golf competitions each week, including Ladies on Tuesdays, Veterans on Wednesdays, and whole-club competitions on Saturdays.

The Full Membership, priced at $1080 per year, includes Golf Australia and Northern Tasmanian Golf affiliation fees. The club also provides discounted rates for younger members, students or apprentices, and juniors. If joining partway through the year, the membership fees are prorated based on the remaining weeks.
For convenience, the club offers monthly direct debit payment options, with an additional fee of $3. 50 per month. A $250 deposit is required for new members opting for the direct debit payment option. Membership applications can be submitted online.
