The greenkeeper, Colin Vanderheul, has put in countless hours of hard work to ensure that the course is in top-notch condition. However, we must bid farewell to Colin, as he is moving to Mannum after 15 years of dedicated service. We wish him all the best in his new endeavours.
Our clubhouse at Millicent Golf Club has recently undergone a comprehensive audit to ensure its structural integrity. Thanks to the expertise of building surveyor John Best and structural engineer Gene Lassaline, we can assure members and guests that our clubhouse is strong and stable. While we do need to re-sheet the roof, the building is in good shape overall.
To keep up with the modern world of social media and attract visitors to our golf course, we have partnered with Peter Cornish from Succinct Ideas to completely rebuild, design, and manage our website. We have also enlisted the help of a local drone operator, Liam Mills, to create a stunning virtual tour of our course. Visitors to our website will have the opportunity to explore each hole in detail, as well as view the facilities we offer.
Millicent Golf Club is proud to announce that we have recently been awarded the PIRSA Thriving Communities Fund Grant. This grant will allow us to improve access for wheelchair users and disabled individuals, as well as enhance our outdoor entertainment areas. We are excited to commence work on these projects soon.
In an effort to provide our members and guests with convenient services, we have implemented VendiCart. This allows individuals to book golf carts online or at the course using the VendiGolf machine. Additionally, green fees can be paid via cash or EFTPOS at the VendiGolf machine, providing a seamless and cashless payment option.
