Lake Albert Golf Club is a sports club situated in the small country town of Meningie in the Coorong District Council of South Australia. The club offers a fantastic 18-hole, par 72 golf course with fully watered fairways and greens that are well-maintained throughout the year. The first tee block provides a picturesque view of the stunning Lake Albert.

For golf enthusiasts, the club offers affordable green fees of $30 per person per day, allowing players to enjoy as many holes as they desire at a great price. Alternatively, players can choose to pay $20 for Holes 1 to 9.

The club has a clubhouse that is open every Friday night, offering delicious and cheap meals for the whole family starting from 6pm. It serves as a great opportunity for members and visitors to socialise and enjoy a meal together.

Lake Albert Golf Club has a rich history, with its formation dating back to 1968 when a 9-hole course was designed with black sand scrapes. In 1979, members decided to expand the course into an 18-hole course, which was successfully completed in 1981. The course was designed by local residents Bow Jude and Dave Cleland. Over the years, members have contributed their time and effort to improve the course, including laying irrigation pipes and developing additional greens.

Today, Lake Albert Golf Club boasts one of the best rural golf courses in South Australia. It features thousands of trees lining the fairways, creating a picturesque and interesting playing experience. The club remains close-knit with approximately sixty-five full-time members, always welcoming new members to join.

Located approximately 150 kilometres from Adelaide on the shores of Lake Albert, Meningie is easily accessible by a relaxing one-hour drive down the South Eastern Freeway to Tailem Bend, then turning right onto Princes Highway (Highway 1). From there, it is another half an hour drive until reaching Meningie. The golf course can be found by continuing south through the town, with the entrance located on the right just past the hospital.
