José Mendez brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in classical horsemanship. Originally from Jerez, Spain, he began his journey at the prestigious Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, where he trained and performed the “airs above ground” with Spanish Andalusian stallions. After moving to Australia, José continued his training and performances with Spanish Andalusians, captivating audiences across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Mexico, and the United States.
Throughout his career, José has also trained and competed on many successful grand prix dressage horses, gaining recognition for his proficiency in piaffe, passage, and work in hand. With his deep understanding of horses and their abilities, José is able to connect with them on a profound level, delving into their souls and feeling their energy of willingness and refusal.
