Originally founded in 1980 by Les Hopkins, McCredie Park Aquatics was an offspring of Cabramatta Swim Club. After leaving Cabramatta Les decided to start a brand new club, McCredie Park Aquatics Amateur Swimming Club, at the recently opened Guildford Heated Pools. Les took on the role of our first president and coach. Our club continued to grow and progress with many swimmers competing at Metro, State, and National levels.
As our club grew and changed so did our name, McCredie Park Aquatics Swimming Club, no longer referencing the 'amateur' in our name. 2014 will mean 34 strong years of McCredie Park Aquatics as we progress and grow our club for the future.
