Mayfield Netball Club, also known as the Mayfield Hawks, is one of Queensland's largest netball clubs, fielding 33 competitive teams and 15 NetSetGo teams in the 2016 season. Our teams play at Metropolitan Districts Netball Association, Wembley Park, Coorparoo.
In the 2015 season, twenty-four of our thirty-four competitive teams made it to the final play-offs, and twelve teams played in the grand finals. Mayfield won six Grand Final Championships.
Mayfield Hawks train at our club grounds behind the Clem Jones swimming complex on Zahel Street, Carina, where we have six bitumen courts and our own cluhouse. We come under the umbrella of the Camp Hill Carina Welfare Association, along with 19 other sporting clubs which make up the “Clem Jones Centre”.
Players between 7 and 10 years old play non-competitive netball. These teams will be coached and will play under the Netball Qld NetSetGo guidelines. Players are not required to trial for the 7 to 9 year old teams. Training for 7 to 9 year olds will be on Wednesday afternoons.
10 years olds will train Thursday afternoons.
Players turning 11 years and older are entered into the MDNA day season and players are required to trial for these teams.
Mayfield Netball Club adheres to strict guidelines when it comes to sportsmanship and fair play. Our Codes of Conduct are aligned with the Netball Qld and MDNA codes. You can download a copy by clicking the icons here.
