The Trent Walters Memorial Burnouts hold a special significance as they are dedicated to the memory of Trent Walters, a burnout enthusiast who was a wheelchair user. Trent passed away in 2019 while building his Legless VZ Maloo burnout Ute. The event aims to honour his passion for motorsports and bring together the community in a celebration of his life.
It is important to note that the pit area is a restricted area, and entry into it requires a Speedway Australia licence. Only individuals aged 16 years or older with ID or 12 years old with a Speedway Australia mechanics card and covered footwear are allowed in the pits. Junior competitors under 12 years old with a Speedway Australia licence can only enter the pits if they are competing in the same event. Additionally, the venue has a strict no animals policy, except legally registered and licenced service animals.
Maryborough Speedway encourages all competitors and Speedway Australia licence holders to fill out the Speedway Australia Entry to Venue/Indemnity form prior to attending the venue on race day. This is for the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.
With its thrilling events, family-friendly atmosphere, and dedication to the memory of Trent Walters, Maryborough Speedway is a must-visit destination for motorsports enthusiasts in the Fraser Coast Regional.
