The Maroochy River Water Ski Association is an incorporated body with a very long and proud 52 year history of water-skiing on the Sunshine Coast. We have a very strong membership and presence on the Maroochy River, our foundation waterway.
Our Association encourages increased participation in water-skiing at all levels and all ages, across all skiing disciplines from social skiing on the Maroochy River through to Tournament skiing. We have hosted many Tournament events including Queensland Country, Queensland State and Australian National titles. Our club boasts many successful international competitors such as World Overall Barefoot Masters champion Cameron Smith.
In 1995, we built a world record accredited tournament site on the Sunshine Coast. Local, State and National ski events were held on this site and quoted to be the one of the best sites in the world.
