About

Riders Club. Established in the 1970s and officially incorporated in 2005, the Maleny Trail Riders Club has a long-standing history in the Sunshine Coast Regional area.

The club's primary event, the Maleny Trail Ride, is held every two years, and all profits from the event are donated back to the community through various clubs and organisations. The club was initially formed to provide riders with a place to ride, and they strive to keep property gates open to riders.

The club is not limited to experienced adult riders but also welcomes junior and novice riders. They frequently organise Come and Try events, allowing riders of all levels the opportunity to experience motorcycling in a safe, controlled, and cost-effective environment.

A key focus of the Maleny Trail Riders Club is to promote responsible riding and provide safe areas for family access. With the aim of welcoming and caring for riders of all levels, the club is particularly family-friendly, and a significant number of its members are children eager to enjoy the excitement of motorcycling.

If you are looking for a safe and enjoyable place to ride with your family and friends, the Maleny Trail Riders Club is the perfect choice. They prioritise fun and safety, ensuring that riders of all ages can have a great time while staying protected.

The club hosts various events throughout the year, and their upcoming main event, the Maleny Trail Ride in 2023, is highly anticipated. The ride will take place at Green Park, Conondale, QLD on the 9th and 10th of September. Riders must attend a briefing on both days, and the ride is non-competitive, requiring no bike registration or quads. Prices for the ride vary depending on the category, with open riders paying $135, novice riders paying $50, and peewee riders paying $40.

Camping is available on Saturday night, and the club provides a canteen with refreshments and coffee throughout the weekend. There will also be entertainment on Saturday afternoon and evening, with the bar open for those who want to relax and socialise after a day of riding.

The club emphasises safety and asks all riders to wear protective clothing, including boots, gloves, approved helmets, long trousers, and long-sleeved shirts or jerseys. Tear-offs are not permitted, and no glass is allowed at the campsite. Pets are also not allowed to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

In addition to the Maleny Trail Ride, the club occasionally organises Come and Try rides to introduce newcomers to the sport. Unfortunately, for now, there are no scheduled Come and Try rides as the club is currently focused on preparing for their upcoming main event.

The Maleny Trail Riders Club also holds an Annual General Meeting, which typically takes place in May. During this meeting, all positions within the club are declared vacant. The date for the 2023 AGM will be announced soon.

The club extends its gratitude to the property owners in the local Maleny area for their ongoing support and generosity. If you are a property owner in the area and are interested in volunteering your property for use, please contact the club at info@malenytrailriders. Com.

Motorcycling is a fantastic way for kids to get active and engaged in a sport they can love for a lifetime. The Maleny Trail Riders Club encourages youth participation and provides a welcoming and supportive environment for riders of all ages.
