Welcome to the website of Maitland Swimming Club Inc. We are a locally based sports club providing the Maitland NSW community with a local, friendly, family oriented swimming club with a focus on friendly competition and promoting the benefits of a health lifestyle. We also provide squad training for children aged 4 years and up.
The Maitland Swimming Club was formed in 1940 shortly after the original King George V Memorial Pool was opened and has been its base ever since, except for one season in 1986 when our new pool was built. During this time our club shared the East Maitland pool with the East Maitland Olympic Swimming Club. Members come from all parts of our City and the surrounding areas.
Membership of the club is approximately 120 members.
The club enjoys a good working relationship with the Maitland City Council, the Pool Staff and the Canteen Staff who actively support our club, and we thank them for this valuable support.
