

The Macleay Valley Rangers Football Club (MVRFC) is a renowned sports club located in the Kempsey Shire Council, New South Wales. Established in 1979, MVRFC has evolved into one of the most successful clubs on the Mid North Coast. The club boasts a rich history, with many individuals contributing to the development of the club's ground, hosting international games, and nurturing players to excel in their achievements.
MVRFC's home ground, known as 'Rangers Park,' has been situated on Dangar St Field since its inception. Over the years, the senior teams have achieved great success, with 11 First Grade leadingships and only missing the semi-finals twice in 22 years. The Reserve Grade and women's sides have also made their mark, with multiple finals and topships. The women's team, in particular, has been incredibly successful, securing 5 out of 10 leadingships in the past decade.
The club places a strong emphasis on junior development, with its juniors heavily involved in the club's activities. The aim is to nurture and progress the juniors into the senior and Central top League (CPL) sides. The club strives to increase junior participation in football and foster overall community involvement in the sport.
MVRFC takes pride in its esteemed life members, comprising individuals who have made significant contributions to the club. These members include Richard Applegate, Norman Borg, John Browne, Paul Burnett, Tony Corley, Paul Clarke, Martin Davies, John DeBono, Kevin Glover, Rita Glover, Wally Glover, Peter Hollis, John McCarthy, David Mitchell, Darren Morn, Keith Morn, Steven Morn, Lloyd Nolan, Graham Pirie, Dean Riordan, Terry Smith, Simon Tamblyn, Richard Whiteford, and Colin Willis.
The MVRFC committee is eagerly looking forward to another fantastic year ahead. The dedicated committee members are readily available to address any questions or concerns from club members. The committee comprises a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Member Protection Officer, Registrar, and other committee members.
To facilitate registrations and fees, MVRFC conducts registration days at the Kempsey RSL Club. All players, from juniors to seniors, are required to attend for size-ups and utilise Active Kids Vouchers or deposits. The club extends its gratitude to the Kempsey RSL Club for their continued support and provision of space for these events. The registration fees for Mini Roos (4-7 and 8-11), Competitive Juniors (12-18), and Seniors (Women's, Reserves, and Firsts) are $135, $160, and $335, respectively.
Additionally, MVRFC participates in the Active Kids programme, which provides parents, guardians, and carers of school-enrolled children with two $100 vouchers to be utilised towards sport and active recreation costs.
