Maclean Netball club was the first club formed in 1989 by dedicated netballers Kaye Smith and Beverly Clark and not long after Kim Galloway joined the ranks. Kim is still to this day a very active committee member and a coach of the Maclean Netball Club team. The clubhouse at Maclean is named after Kaye Smith for her dedication to netball for many years.
