Logan River Motorcycle Trials Club is a family-oriented sports club located in the Southern Downs Regional area of Australia. Established in 1974, the club is dedicated to the motorcycle sport of 'Moto-Trials'. With members coming from various locations, including Gladstone, Lismore, and Millmerran, the club welcomes riders of all levels and ages.
Unlike other forms of motorcycle sport, Moto-Trials is not about racing. It is a unique sport that focuses on balance, skill, and concentration. Competitors tackle an obstacle course filled with boulders, streams, hill climbs, logs, and various other challenges. It is a sport that tests the rider's ability to navigate through difficult terrains.
Moto Trials is the world's most popular participatory motorcycle sport, with hundreds of thousands of riders regularly competing in Europe.
Moto Trials offers classes for riders of different ages and abilities. From Juniors as young as 16 years old to Veterans aged 40 to 70+, there is a class for everyone. The sport also caters to different skill levels, with Expert, A, B, C, Clubman/Novice, and Masters (35+) classes. There are additional classes available for Sidecar, Post-Classic (twin shock), and Classic categories.
The sport is known for its safety, as there are minimal incidents and injuries due to the low speeds and one-at-a-time use of sections by competitors.
In addition to its popularity, Moto Trials is also unique in that it is the only motorcycling sport that can be competed in at “Masters Games” level. Riders in the top classes attempt seemingly impossible obstacles, showcasing incredible skill and trick riding, including air turns, bunny hops, and wheel bouncing during turns.
Logan River Motorcycle Trials Club maintains an active events calendar, featuring club trials, coaching days, open events, and interclub competitions.
