The Lavington Panthers Cricket Club has a long history in cricket in the Albury/Wodonga region dating back to the 1920s with the club’s first premiership being in 1925/26 in the second grade competition. Originally known as the Lavington Cricket Club (The Blues) the club was a founding member of the Lavington Sports Club, established in 1976 in partnership with the Lavington Football Club. The success of the Lavington Sports Club in the late 1970s and 1980s allowed the development of the sporting facilities that are the envy of other clubs in regional Australia.
