Welcome to Latrobe Basketball Association Inc. , the official home of the Latrobe Demons. We are a sports club located in Latrobe Council, Tasmania. Our club has a rich history, as we have been a member of the NWBU (North West Basketball Union) since its formation in 1974.

However, basketball in the area can be traced back even further to around 1946 when servicemen returning from World War 2 introduced the sport to the community.

At Latrobe Basketball Association Inc. , we are committed to promoting and developing the sport of basketball in our local area. We offer opportunities for people of all ages and skill levels to participate in the sport and enjoy the benefits of being part of a team. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the sport, we welcome you to join us and become a Demon!

One of our main goals is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for our members. We believe that basketball is not only a fantastic physical activity but also a great way to build friendships, learn teamwork, and develop important life skills. Our club is dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community and camaraderie among our players, coaches, and volunteers.

We offer a range of basketball programmes and competitions for different age groups, including juniors, seniors, and veterans. Our facilities are well-equipped, including a stadium that can be booked for training sessions, games, and events. We also have dedicated coaches and trainers who are passionate about helping our members improve their skills and achieve their full potential.
