Lancaster Primary School is a small school located 8 kilometres east of Kyabram. The school is set in a pleasant rural setting containing a vegetable garden and chook shed. As the school was established in 1876, many of the families have historical links with the school. The school community strenuously seeks to maintain the traditions of the school and actively promotes the school in order to ensure the future of Lancaster Primary School.
The school is acutely aware that it plays an important role in the education of its’ students, and it also recognises that parents and the community play an equally important role. Parent participation is encouraged through an active and inclusive School Council, a fundraising committee, working bees, family nights, parent participation days and extended curriculum activities. The School Council has an active membership of 12.
