Kurnell Stingrays Junior Rugby League Club

The Kurnell Stingrays were formed in 1991. Originally formed of by a couple of guys who thought it might be a good idea to organise an open age A Grade side to compete in the Cronulla Sutherland Junior League 1992 competition. Almost overnight six other teams were formed ranging from under sixes to A grade which came as a pleasant surprise.

A well-equipped clubhouse sits along side the football field at Marton park thanks mainly to a bunch of local tradesmen who volunteered their time as well as some materials. A great deal of the funds were raised through fundraising events in the early years by our hard working foundation committee. We also received help from the Sutherland Shire Council who provided funds for the completion of the amenities.
