Kootingal Moonbi Swim Club (KMSC) is a highly regarded sports club located in Tamworth Regional Council, New South Wales. Over the years, KMSC has become one of the strongest and most successful clubs in the New England and North West Region. With a focus on creating a welcoming and family-oriented environment, KMSC caters to swimmers of all ages, from 5 years to 45 years.
The primary goal of KMSC is to accommodate swimmers of all skill levels, from beginners who can just swim 25 metres to serious competitive swimmers. The club is fortunate to have two Bronze level qualified coaches, Greg Poetschka and Graham Johnstone, who are dedicated to the development and improvement of all swimmers in the club.
KMSC offers various training sessions based on skill level. These include the Mini Squad for beginners and the A, B, and C Squads for competitive swimmers. Additionally, every Tuesday night during summer, the club holds its Point Score/Club Night Programme, providing an opportunity for swimmers to compete and showcase their skills.
During summer, training takes place at the Kootingal Pool, while in the winter months, the club utilises the heated pool at 360 Fitness in Tamworth. The Kootingal Hotel is proud to be KMSC's major sponsor, and the club encourages all members to support this generous sponsor whenever possible.
KMSC also organises various events and competitions throughout the year, such as Presentation Day and the Kootingal Carnival, which typically takes place in early January. These events offer swimmers a chance to showcase their hard work and compete against other clubs in the region.
