Located just 2 km from the picturesque township of Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills, the property is well-established for horses. Individual and shared paddocks are available, and the paddocks are maintained to ensure year-round ground cover. The facilities are well-maintained to provide a safe environment for horses, and horses are checked twice daily at feed time.

Kirkley Hill Equine Management is committed to responsible land management and has been recognised as a fine example of a well-managed horse property by the Adelaide Hills Natural Resource Management Board. They have implemented pasture care courses and sown horse-specific pastures, fertilising them annually with organic fertilisers. Horses are rotated to avoid overgrazing, and the property has an extensive manure composting and recycling programme using composting worms. This programme produces quality premium garden compost, much of which is returned to the paddocks as fertiliser each autumn.

In addition to their dedication to land management, Kirkley Hill Equine Management is also prepared for bushfires. The property has a bushfire plan in place, along with extinguishers, fire pumps, and paddock irrigation systems. All agistees are provided with a detailed fire plan and are required to complete a liability form upon arrival.
