Kingston SE Golf Club, established in 1903, is a sports club located in Kingston South East, Australia. The club boasts a professionally designed, fully watered 18-hole layout set among undulating coastal sandy rises with beautiful tree-lined fairways. Spanning 6057m (5227m for ladies), the course is impeccably maintained and features challenging grassy hollows and mounds bordering the couch fairways and superb bent grass greens.
Golfers can expect an exciting and rewarding experience on the course, with a variety of “dog leg” holes that entice adventurous players to take on the challenge of trees on the corners to seek their reward. Notably, the Par 5, 18th hole presents a unique challenge with a large gum tree positioned in the middle of the fairway, forcing golfers to make strategic decisions for their second shot.
The course is easily walkable for older players and can be accessed via the Southern Ports Highway, just 4 km south of Kingston. Green fees can be paid at all times through an honesty box system, allowing players to enjoy a round of golf at their convenience.
Kingston is not only a haven for golf enthusiasts but also a vibrant town known for its crayfishing industry. Visitors can indulge in the locally caught fresh crayfish in season, typically from October to May. The area is also renowned for its wine-growing industry, with three cellar doors in proximity. In addition to golf, Kingston offers safe beaches, fishing opportunities, and excellent conditions for windsurfing and sailing.
Local attractions include the Cape Jaffa Lighthouse, 'Larry the Lobster,' Butchers Gap Conservation Park, The Coorong, The Granites, and one of the world's few analemmatic sundials.
The club hosts a range of competitions and tournaments throughout the year.
