The Melbourne Budokai (formerly the Melbourne Kendo Club) has existed for over thirty years. We are a martial arts club that trains in the Japanese arts of Kendo, Iaido, and Naginata.
The Kenshikan Dojo has been the home of The Melbourne Budokai (MBK) since 1990.
The Kenshikan Dojo is the only purpose built Kendo training hall in Australia and also serves as the home of the Victorian Kendo Renmei, the state governing body for Kendo and Iaido.
